Holiday workshop for youth ages 11 to16
29 September – 3 October
Ainslie Arts Centre, cnr Elouera & Donaldson St Braddon

Do you play in a band? Do you want to play in a band? School’s in this spring for young rock musos aged 11-16 years at Music For Everyone’s ROCK SCHOOL. Enjoy a fun week of afternoon workshops in electric lead guitar, bass guitar, drum-kit, and vocals. Get expert tips on playing rock music, plus great jam sessions together as bands, with professional band players as your coaches. And new for this Rock School, there’ll be a few places for a select number of wannabe band managers to enrol and learn music business basics. At the end of the workshop, participants will give a short showcase performance for family and friends, and on Saturday 4 October there will be an opportunity to perform in an outdoor gig at Floriade! Rock School will be held at the Ainslie Arts Centre in Braddon (the old Ainslie Public School), where’s there’s plenty of room for bands to rock. A great way to spend a week of your school holidays. Please note: some experience playing your instrument or singing is required, this is not for complete beginners. The enrolment form for Rock School will be posted here and enrolments will open in September, so watch this space!
