Music Classes for Children

MusicPlay: 18 months - 5 years

MusicCraft: 5-9 years

This program offers music tuition in a group class environment for children from the age of 18 months to 9 years. Through singing, movement and percussion, children are introduced to the basics concepts of music.

In a Music For Everyone (MFE) Music Class children develop skills in:

Listening
Singing
Moving
Playing
Creating

Children learn songs, make up songs, play percussion instruments, and learn a range of rhyming, action and movement games. They develop rhythmic and pitch awareness, and are encouraged to listen and respond to music creatively.

The classes are divided into groups of 5-10 children of similar age ranges and experience. Parental participation in these classes is encouraged. Another important feature of these classes is the social interaction with other children of similar age and ability through music activities.

Music For Everyone Music Classes are designed to give children a positive first experience of music in a fun, relaxed and stimulating environment. The classes aim to be as enjoyable as possible and create a good grounding for further development of music and other learning skills.
