Mission

To provide a musical and educational environment in which people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities develop music skills and participate in a diverse range of music activities.

Aims:

Provide a supportive educational environment in which individuals can explore a variety of musical experiences.
Present interesting and effective tutorial and workshop programs delivered to a high standard by professional artists and teachers.
Include and develop activities that demonstrate special consideration for people who have limited access to and low participation in musical activities.
Broaden the musical experiences of the community by providing access to diverse musical traditions and newly commissioned works.
Program innovative performances of the highest standard achievable by the participants.
Collaborate with other groups and/or individuals in the community to further develop innovative, interesting and resourceful alliances for cooperative and coordinated production.

Vision

To grow and flourish as a dynamic community arts organisation that enriches the quality of life in the ACT by inspiring and fostering participation in music making; creating opportunities for all who wish to develop their musical potential and increase their enjoyment and understanding of music together.

Participation in music-making enriches the quality of the individual's cultural life and that of the community.
Music activities promote and develop values of diversity, harmony and creativity.
People of all ages, backgrounds and abilities should be encouraged to explore and achieve musical goals.
