Flute, Clarinet and Saxophone

This program offers a range of group classes for youth and adults. Students learn the basics of instrumental technique, music reading and group performance. This is a fun way to begin learning an instrument and provides a good foundation for further music studies. The classes run for 45min-one hour per week and the class size will be 5-8 students.

Who can join?

  • Beginners class: classes for children from 9 years and adults who are complete beginners, or anyone who has been playing their instrument for approximately 6 months but hasn't had much individual tuition.
  • Elementary class: classes for students from 10 years and adults who have been playing their instrument for approximately 6 to 18 months but haven't had much individual tuition.
  • Intermediate class: classes for youth from 11 years or adults who have been playing their instrument for at least 2-3 years.

What do you need?

  • flute, clarinet or saxophone
  • reeds for clarinet and saxophone
  • folder for music
  • music will be provided for initial lessons: your tutor will advise you if you need to purchase music-books
  • music stand for home practice

Students in group classes can perform at Music For Everyone concerts and take part in other special events.

For more experienced players, there are also ensembles at Music For Everyone. Playing in an ensemble is a great way to make music with the skills you already have and refine techniques together. For more information:
