Drum-kit, Drumming & Percussion

This program offers a range of tuition options in percussion:

Drum-kit

This program introduce students to the various percussion instruments that make up the standard drum-kit and teach the techniques needed for playing each component. Group classes and individual tuition available for youth and adults.

Hand–drumming

This program introduces students to different drumming styles and teach the basic technical aspects of the instruments. Students learn the rudiments of drumming in a range of musical genres including African, South American and Middle Eastern rhythms. Group classes only available for youth and adults.

Classical percussion

This program focuses on the percussion instruments played in bands and orchestra: snare drum, timpani, marimba, xylophone and others. Students learn the different skills required for playing a range of percussion instruments. Group classes and individual tuition available for youth and adults.

Students in group classes can perform at Music For Everyone concerts and can take part in other special events.
