Programs > Group Class Tuition > Brass

Brass

This program offers a range of group classes for youth and adults. The brass instruments taught are: trumpet, trombone, French horn, euphonium and cornet. Students learn the basics of instrumental technique, music reading and group performance. This is a fun way to begin learning a brass instrument or to develop at the elementary level, and provides a good foundation for further music studies. The classes run for 45 min-one hour per week and the class size will be 5-8 students.

Who can join?

  • Beginners class for youth from 9 yrs who are complete beginners or anyone who has been playing their instrument for approximately 6 months but hasn't had much individual tuition.
  • Beginners class for adults who are complete beginners or anyone who has been playing their instrument for approximately 6 months but hasn't had much individual tuition.
  • Continuing classes are offered at elementary & intermediate levels

What do you need?

  • your instrument: trumpet, trombone, French horn, euphonium, or cornet
  • folder for music
  • music will be provided for initial lessons: your tutor will advise you if you need to purchase music-books
  • music stand for home practice

Students in group classes can perform at Music For Everyone concerts and take part in other special events.

For more experienced players, there are also ensembles at Music For Everyone. Playing in an ensemble is a great way to make music with the skills you already have and refine techniques together. For more information:
